Maine State Credit Union Announces 2022 Award Winners


AUGUSTA — Maine State Credit Union recently announced this year’s employee award winners, including Kalee Michaud, Shelley Rowe, Michael Covach, Alex Guiou, Porscha Ware, Kiley Connor, Mitch Ryan and Milicent Markle.

“This year’s recipients exude excellence in all aspects of their lives, whether personal or professional,” said Stephen Wallace, president and CEO, according to a press release. “We are incredibly lucky to work with such great people and excited to see what the future holds for them at MSCU.”

The Social Responsibility Award was presented to Kalee Michaud, Mortgage Agent, who champions social responsibility by helping others come together to help each other and support our community.

The Leading Forward Award was presented to Shelley Rowe, Vice President of Depository Operations, a leader who builds connections through mutual respect, meaningful communication and by developing trusting relationships.

The recipient of the Commitment to Culture Award is Michael Covach, Team Leader of eBranch Financial Services Representatives, who represents Maine State Credit Union and its purpose with his exemplary commitment.

The Growing for Tomorrow award was presented to Alex Guiou, Mortgage Loan Officer, who demonstrated outstanding initiative to improve the credit union both internally and externally.

The recipient of the Dedication to Member Service Award is eBranch Financial Services Representative Porscha Ware, who consistently and unconditionally provides extraordinary service to our members while demonstrating the highest level of integrity.

The Team Member Dedication Award was presented to Kiley Connor, Accounting Manager. She demonstrates exceptional service and support to her colleagues and the fund through her reliability, diligence and positive interactions.

President’s Award recipients consistently demonstrate outstanding performance and exemplify the culture of the organization as judged by the President and CEO.

Mitch Ryan, vice president of technology operations, has worked for the credit union for more than a year and has transformed his department into a high-level powerhouse ready to deal with change as it arises.

Our second recipient, Milicent Markle, head of the technology operations team, never lets a job slip away. Earlier this year, she was a key contributor to the successful adoption of MSCU’s digital banking platform. With her help, the 33,000 members of the MSCU experienced a seamless and smooth transition.
