Black Hills Federal Credit Union is about to open a new member service center in southern Rapid City.
Representatives from the credit union, Gustafson Builders, the city and Elevate Rapid City inaugurated the facility on Friday.
“The idea behind opening the location on the south side is to better serve our existing members, especially those on the south side,” said Leslie Millard, marketing communications specialist for the credit union. “We did not have a centralized location for this population. This will help us better serve our current members and future members as well.”
The 3,200 square foot center will be the credit union’s sixth location and will be located on Fifth and Minnesota streets. It will include four traffic lanes, four offices and an interactive ATM.
There is currently an interactive ticket machine in Fifth and Minnesota, which will remain in service during construction. Completion of the building is scheduled for mid-summer 2022.
It will be the company’s 16th site in the state. There are sites in Rapid City, Custer, Eagle Butte, Hot Springs, Pierre, Sioux Falls, Spearfish, Sturgis, and Wall.
