MUMBAI : The Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) announced Thursday that it has partnered with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to launch its first credit card on the RuPay card payment network.
Entitled “BOM Platinum RuPay Contactless Credit Card”, it offers 100 reward points as a welcome benefit to users on their first retail value. ??1,000 or more and a free annual membership fee for the first year.
The card also comes with the card liability cover in which customers will have no liability after the fraud is reported, BoM said in its statement. “They will also be protected against card counterfeiting, card skimming and other online fraud under this coverage.”
The card’s reward system accumulates 1 reward point for each ??100 spent.
Among other advantages, the card offers an exemption from the fuel surcharge of up to ??200 on fuel transactions between ??500 and ??4,000, at all fuel refill stations in India. Users will have the option to convert all of their qualifying transactions to a value ??5,000 and more, in easy NDE according to their preferred mandates. If customers spend more than ??30,000 per year, the annual charges will be removed from the second year, the BoM said in its statement.

BOM Platinum RuPay contactless credit card users will have access to domestic airport lounges.
